December 2019 meeting

The last night of Perth Flower Club's 2019 season was a big success, with the committee producing nibbles , macaroons, mince pies and non alcoholic punch before the demonstration. Our demonstrator was the wonderful Lilias Hoskins, a big favourite with the Perth club. In spite of insisting that she is getting too old for this malarkey, Lilias gave a super demonstration including something that Barbra Cartland would have at Christmas. Lilias also regaled the audience with stories about some of the adventures she has had while competing and judging. Lilias is with her Barbra Cartland arrangement. A good end to a good year for Perth Flower Club.

November meeting

There was a good turnout in spite of the dreadful weather for the November meeting, and it was worth the effort coming out in the dark wet windy night.  Christine Ogle was on top form.  Perth Flower Club were first on her tour so all the flowers and foliage were in excellent condition.  Christine’s title was ‘Oh,No, It’s Christmas’ and she managed to get the right balance of a little bit of sparkle, not too much bling. Christine's arrangements were outstanding and all very different.  Here we have Christine with one of her arrangements.  Next time you are on tour we would love to have you back Christine.

Linda seen with her Far East arrangement of gorgeous Orchids. A great night was had by all. A massive thanks to Linda’s husband Alex who helped us to get the Hall door open.

October 2018 meeting

Perth Flower Club were well entertained by Steve Ludlum with his "Autumn Madness".  Steve who hails from Dundee is a regular visitor to the Perth Club and never disappoints.  Some of his designs hardly needed flowers as the foliage was so vibrant with all the shades and tints of autumn.  Steve was also very generous with all his foliage and flowers left over from the demonstration and nearly every one got something to take home with them.  Many thanks Steve for a good night.  Hope to see you back in Perth in the not to distant future.
